| Marsha has worked for
children and youth throughout her career. "When my husband died of
cancer in 1983, I became a single parent with Louie at 8 and Lizzie at 6
years of age. I understand the importance of affordable, quality child
care." Improving the availability
and quality of child care in Santa Rosa has been her passion. In the
General Plan Update of 1986, Marsha was the first to research the inclusion
of the Human Services Element in order to establish the Child Care Advisory
Committee. She currently serves on the Santa Rosa Child Care Advisory Committee and the Sonoma County Child Care Planning Council. On the City Council, she advocates for the inclusion of child care facilities in each new development. |
